More than a decade of mutual friendship contributed to Hungary being among the first to support the Euro-Atlantic integration of the countries belonging to the "Adriatic Charter", Albania, Croatia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the next stage being an invitation this April for Albania to join the NATO.

Mr Orbán confirmed that the perky Albanian economy should be a target of Hungarian investments which could help increase the employment and economic growth in both countries.

The chairman of Fidesz expressed his hopes that the incumbent Hungarian government will keep its promise and recognize the independent state of Kosovo. Prime Minister Berisha is reported to have shown serious interest in the upcoming referendum in Hungary.
