Close Cooperation with the Austrian People's Party

On 11 March, Mr Tibor Navracsics, head of the parliamentary group of Fidesz - Hungarian Civic Union and Mr Zsolt Németh, chairman (Fidesz) of the Committee on Foreign Affairs met former Austrian Cancellor, Mr Wolfgang Schüssel, head of the parliamentary group of Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). |

The parties agreed upon a strengthened cooperation in strategic planning and legislation, while the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) would, based on its previous experiences, help prepare Hungary for its upcoming presidency of the European Union in 2011.
