According to official statistics the number of the registered unemployed in Hungary has reached 653.000, the highest in 13 years. Unemployment rates of the neighbouring countries also demonstrate that Hungary is sliding further back in the regional competition. A recently published OECD report monitoring the labour markets of 30 countries shows that the number of jobseekers is the fourth highest in Hungary. All these prove that the Socialist government has mismanaged the crisis and has neglected the interests of the citizens, said the Fidesz vice-chairman.
