People want change and most of them expect it coming from the opposition, said Fidesz chairman Viktor Orbán in a television interview. Voters also want a government with strong legitimacy, he added.

The lack of structural changes in the budget of the Bajnai government will result in a big deficit in the 2011 budget. "There is no one who could tell exactly what sort of figures the new government will face. Only after the transfer of power the exact data can be given. Right now we can only guess." Viktor Orbán also talked about the actions of the new government if Fidesz gets to power, like setting up a ‘green bank' with the help of which old blocks of flats and housing estates could be made more energy efficient. He also emphasized the importance of reducing hospital waiting lists and increasing public security.
The Fidesz chairman in another interview said that different tax rates are needed as flat rate tax is not viable in Hungary, and the payment time of public procurements should be shortened.
