As Fidesz chairman Viktor Orbán pointed out after the signing ceremony, this was not the first time these organizations formed an alliance. During the period of his civic government, the alliance was already in the process of being formed, and was officially established in 2006.
‘This agreement is a commitment, we, who signed it made a commitment to carry out certain measures of national interest', Viktor Orbán added. He emphasized that the treaty in itself is not sufficient to make Hungary successful, because to achieve that every single citizen is needed. In case the alliance gains the support and trust of the Hungarian voters at the elections, it will be able and ready to set goals to the country and will enable us to regain the international reputation of the country and make Hungary a respected state again in the Central European region.
