Fidesz Responds to the Foundation of the "Magyar Gárda"

Hungary is a constitutional democracy, its Constitution guarantees all civil rights.

Fidesz - Hungarian Civic Union categorically calls upon everyone to abide by the Constitution and the rule of law. We categorically call upon the "Magyar Gárda", its members and activists to obey all laws, respect the civil rights of every person and to prevent any kind of discrimination. We categorically call upon the Hungarian Police to keep and enforce all laws of the Republic of Hungary, to ensure that the civil rights enlisted in the Constitution can be exercised by every person and to protect everyone from any form of discrimination or violation of rights.

It is obvious, that the foundation of "Magyar Gárda" is a very good excuse for PM Ferenc Gyurcsány to start a hysterical campaign to stir up fear in order to distract the public's attention from Hungary's real problems: the crisis in education, healthcare and the economy.
